ABOUT ME

Natalie grew up in La Cañada Flintridge, a small town in the Los Angeles area. She attended San Diego State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Foods and Nutrition, with a minor in Marketing. During her time at SDSU, she also completed the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD). She also was on Dean's List all four years of her undergraduate degree.
Early in her studies, Natalie discovered a passion for nutrition, with a particular interest in the intersection of food science and marketing. Her enthusiasm for health and fitness fuels her goal of working for a company that promotes healthy living. She intends to leverage her credential to collaborate with a food company as part of its marketing or product development team.
Throughout college, Natalie gained hands-on experience to support her career aspirations. She worked all four years at Shake Smart, a protein shake shop on campus, where she advanced to a training shift lead position. During the summer of her third year, she expanded her clinical skills by working as a Diet Clerk at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. In addition, she contributed to the WIC newsletter for over a year, gaining valuable experience in community nutrition. During her senior year, she served as the Public Relations Manager for SDSU’s Student Nutrition Organization, further honing her leadership and communication skills.
Outside of academics, Natalie enjoys staying active, especially through weightlifting and hot pilates. She also loves catching sunsets and exploring new foods and restaurants. Looking ahead, Natalie plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Nutrition with an emphasis in Food Science and then earn her Registered Dietitian (RD) credential, continuing her journey in the field of nutrition and wellness.
